Education and Awareness
GTNs takes a community-based approach to dealing with environmental and climate change issues. We Organize and participate in community engagement educational campaigns to raise awareness about climate change, its causes, and its impacts. We also use the digital front to spread information, engage in discussions, and mobilize support for climate initiatives.
Promoting Sustainable Practices
GTN advocates for energy conservation by promoting energy-efficient practices, such as using environmentally friendly cooking methods, solar lighting, and renewable energy sources. Grassroots Transforming Network is also at the forefront of leading initiatives for recycling, composting, reducing plastic use, and promoting a zero-waste lifestyle.
Community Projects
Tree Planting and Reforestation: Organizing tree planting events and supporting reforestation projects to increase green cover and enhance carbon sequestration.
Urban Gardening: Creating community gardens and green spaces to improve air quality and provide local subsistence food sources.
Advocacy and Policy Influence
Climate Activism: Participating in climate strikes, marches, and protests to demand action from governments and corporations.
Policy Advocacy: Engaging with policymakers to advocate for stronger climate policies, including renewable energy mandates, emissions reductions, and conservation programs.
Youth Councils: Joining or forming youth councils or advisory boards to ensure young people’s voices are represented in climate decision-making processes.
